CBNET (Computer-Based NET) is held in Islamabad and Quetta — questions appear on screen, with scratch paper provided. PBNET (Paper-Based NET) is held in Karachi and Gilgit — bubble-sheet OMR, pencil. The question paper is identical; only the medium differs.

Four series annually: NET-1 (December), NET-2 (February), NET-3 (March-April), and NET-4 (June-July). NET-4 is the final series for Fall admission. NUST takes your best score across all attempts — sitting NET-1 carries no permanent risk.

What is the registration fee for one NET series?

PKR 5,000 per series. Each series requires a separate registration on the NUST online application portal.

Can FSc Pre-Medical students sit the NET-Engineering paper?

Accepted Answer

Yes. With Additional Math, you can apply directly. Without, you can still appear in NET-Engineering but admission is conditional on completing NUST's 8-week condensed mathematics course before classes begin (offered via connected.nust.edu.pk).

Is Chemistry tested on the NET-Engineering paper?

No. The current NET-Engineering format tests Mathematics, Physics, and English only. Chemistry is on the FSc syllabus but not on this NET paper. The English section replaced Chemistry in the updated format.
